Valentine’s Day was nice. I had some strawberries and chocolate sauce delivered to Becky at work. Then we ate dinner at Jacky’s Bistro at 9pm, from a special Valentine’s Day menu. It was very romantic, and very nice.
I had steamed mussels for an appetizer, because I was feeling daring. They were very tasty, but I could only eat a few of them. I don’t think I’ve quite acquired a yen for those things.
Jacky’s Bistro is great… it’s a French restaurant, so everything is served all crazy. The food is wonderful. For dessert, they brought out an assortment of little thingies, all of which were very nice.
Today I should be finding out whether or not Don’t Spit the Water was accepted into the Chicago Improv Festival. That’d be kind of neat. If we are accepted, I hope we’re given a showcase slot instead of a fringe slot. Last year’s fringe slot felt very detached from the rest of the festival.
Twelve more days until my 30th… eeps.
I’m having a birthday party, sort of, and if you’re reading this, then you’re invited. I’ll be at the Lincoln Tap Room on Friday, February 24th, at around 9pm. They’ll be doing a drink special, where for $20 you get a wrist band, and a sort-of-open-bar. So swing on by!
