Today is the 8th anniversary of when I started dating Becky. Today is also three days before my 30th birthday. And Cubs tickets are now on sale!
I’ve got about 15 windows open on my PC at the Virtual Waiting Room. Hopefully I’ll get up to the window before everything is sold out. I’ve been fairly successful in years past, but it does get a little more difficult to snag some tickets each year.
I’ve been sick these last few days, which has not been fun at all. Tonight I’m having a birthday party at the Lincoln Tap Room at around 9-ish. I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be healthy enough to have a good time. I think I’m just about there. I’ve stopped having coughing fits, and my energy is back up. My throat is a little sore, but I bet I’ll be fine by evening.
Becky’s taking me out for dinner after work… I’m going to have my very first experience at Fogo de Chao. If everything goes well, I’ll be in a meat-induced coma at my party.
This is going to be a very busy weekend. We have friends coming in from out of town who will be staying at our place. I’m taking the day off on Monday, my proper birthday, to just veg out and be thirty.
Ah, the Virtual Waiting Room. It’s always such a buzz when one of your windows hits, and you get to select tickets.
I think I will be back to the blog later today. I have some witty pre-thirty observations welling up.
