About Steve

Steve Gadlin is a web developer, writer and comedian living in Chicago, Illinois. Founder of Blewt! Productions, Steve helped launch the popular stage shows Don’t Spit the Water, Impress These Apes, and The Nairobi Project.  He co-hosts the cable access live call-in show Talkin’ Funny alongside comedy partner Paul Luikart, and he wants to draw a cat for you.

Steve was named by New City as one of the 50 people who really perform in Chicago. In 2009, he was a finalist in the Andy Kaufman Awards.  In 2010, he took second place.  He was also asked by the Kaufman family to host the Andy Kaufman Funhouse, an alternative comedy showcase that was part of the TBS Just For Laughs Festival in 2010.

Stages he has performed on include Caroline’s On Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, The Lincoln Lodge, Chicago Underground Comedy, The Playground Theatre, The iO Theater, The Second City, The Annoyance Theatre, The Lakeshore Theater, The ComedySportz Theatre, and others.

He has a knack for making rain around his ridiculous comedy projects, and the good fortune to produce and perform with some of the most talented comedy minds in Chicago.

By day, Steve manages the web team for Weigel Broadcasting.
